@threat @tyil So the hard part is making that kernel/userspace separation. As one of the hackers I look up to pointed out to me years ago, if you don't have complete control of the environment, and are merely influencing it, you aren't in the kernel, you're in userspace.

The subconscious, and various unconscious processes in the brain, can be thought of as the kernel for a lot of these purposes, especially since they abstract things like hardware away from you.

And for human cognition, that line is blurry. Insanely blurry. Think of driving a car for the first time, it's something that requires 100% of your conscious effort. Eventually it becomes subconscious, essentially a kernel module, and you're just using userspace tools to direct it at a high level.
